History
In 1938 the Daily Times and the Age joined to form the Wairarapa Times-Age.
The newly merged paper moved to a purpose-built Art Deco-inspired building on the corner of Chapel and Perry Streets in Masterton.
The paper was acquired by Wilson & Horton Newspaper group in July 2002. This group was in turn bought up by APN News & Media (Now NZME.). On the 30th of June of 2016 the Wairarapa Times-Age returned to local ownership when it was purchased by National Media Limited a Wairarapa owned and operated company.
