Staff Picks
And that’s not all; Aratoi will also be hosting a ‘Choice: Staff Picks from the Collection’ event this weekend.
Each staff member at Aratoi has been asked to choose an object from the collection that has spoken to them.
This can be anything from a model ship or stuffed kiwi to clothes brushes.

Wetland Planting
The Ruamāhanga Mauri oho and the South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group have organised a Wetland Restoration Planting day for all ages – with no experience needed.
Get your hands dirty planting trees and grasses in an oxbow – which was once a bend in the Ruamāhanga river – while also learning about how the river’s meanderings were shaped.
Gardening tools, eco-sourced plants and refreshments will also be provided.
