Vehicle collision with Wairarapa commuter train

One person has been airlifted to hospital after a vehicle collided with a northbound Wairarapa commuter train at 10.15 this morning. The person was transported to Palmerston North hospital in a serious condition. The incident, which happed at a level crossing on Norfolk Rd, closed the intersection between SH2 and Norfolk road for more than four hours.
