Incentive to try ‘Dry July’

Along with other staff at Trust House-owned bars and restaurants in Wairarapa, Pukemanu Bar manager Bridgett Harper [pictured] is part of a promotion aimed at getting punters to try zero-alcohol drinks during ‘Dry July’. During the first half of July, the ‘Try July’ promotion involves everyone who buys a zero-alcohol drink at a Trust House venue will go into a draw for a $200 voucher to spend at any of the trust’s establishments. There’s a prize for each venue and, once the promotion ends, the venue with the most entries wins $1000 to donate to a local school. The initiative is part of Trust House’s involvement in the What about you? Wairarapa campaign, which promotes low risk drinking, encourages no drug use, and supports mental wellbeing. ‘Try July’ kicked off on Friday [June 30] and runs to Sunday, July 16 at the following participating venues: Farriers, Kuripuni Sports Bar, Jackson Street Bar, Copthorne Solway Park, and Pukemanu Bar and Eatery.
