At home in Dunedin on Saturday May 6, 2023; aged 61 years, surrounded by his loved ones. Husband and best friend to Claire (Austin), Dad to Cherry and Nic Hart, Joe, and Hannah Smellie, and Grandpo to Mikey, and Betty. Loved brother of Jenni and Hamish Dobbie, Tim and Ali, Matt and Ange Smellie. Teacher, Kaiako, Matua Kai and coach to many young people in Plimmerton, Porirua, Wellington, the Wairarapa, Australia and Dunedin.
