HENDEN,
Rodney Brett (Rod).
Peacefully on Friday 7th April 2023 at Wairarapa Village, Masterton after a short illness.
Born Wellington 28th July 1946, Rod worked at the Department of Maori Affairs in the 1980’s and contributed to “Te Aratirohanga” and NZ Oxford Pocket Dictionary. Resident of Tawa for many years before moving to Masterton.
Much loved only son of Roma and Jack Henden (both deceased).
Much loved nephew of Lorelei Powell, and loved cousin of Linda West, Jonathan Campbell,
Christopher Powell, Julien Powell, and Diana Gabric.
An afternoon tea in celebration of Rod’s life will be held at the Wairarapa Village, 140 Chapel Street, Masterton on 27 April 2023. Please RSVP to the Village Office on (06) 378 2577.
