Matuakore Iraia ‘Matua’ (nee Ngamotu).
On 27th November 2022 peacefully at Wairarapa Hospital in the presence of whanau. Aged 81 years. Much loved wife of the late Bill. Cherished and loving mother and mother-in-law of Charlie and Cindy, Virginia and Colin Burgess, Mitchell and Gaylene, Eddie (Rabbit) and Nesia (deceased), Kalani and Tony, Alex and Rochelle, and the late Reginald (Popcorn). Loved ‘Nan’ of all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A loved sister, sister-in-law, Auntie and friend to many.
Matua will lie at the Hurunui-o-Rangi Marae Gladstone (from Monday at 11.00am) where her funeral service which will be held on Wednesday 30th November 2022 at 11.00am followed by burial at the Ngaitaneroa Urupa. The service will be livestreamed via her tribute page at www.tributes.co.nz
