For a second year, students at Kuranui College have worked with Youth2Work Wairarapa [Y2W] to plan their transition from school to employment.
In partnership with career advisers at Kuranui, Y2W helped facilitate the school’s Moving On and Work Experience Day, and now will work one-on-one with year 12 and 13 students to ensure they find a successful pathway into further education, training or employment.
“This is the second year we’ve tried this approach and the one-on-one work really benefited the rangatahi [youth] so we just had to come for another year” Y2W team leader Kylie Brady said.
