On 1st July 2019 peacefully at Aversham House, Masterton, two days after her 97th birthday. Loved wife of the late Eric. Loved mother of Elaine Martin (Hamilton), mother and mother in law of Gaye and Francis Pointon (Masterton). Loved Grandma of Robert Pointon (Wellington) and special Aunty Es of Ruth. Loved oldest sister of Irene and Gordon Cornwell (dec), Rob (dec) and Claire Shoosmith, Ian and Bev Shoosmith. Loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Esme’s wishes a family service was held in Masterton.
