Wairarapa’s JAB rugby players got out on the frosty, muddy fields all over the region on Saturday.

Greytown Under-6 played Featherston and Carterton, with players of the day going to Beau Saunders and Thomas Perkins.

The Under-8s played Martinborough and Pioneer and players of the day were Nate Goodman and Kaleb Adams.

Under-9s had a good win against Marist with Max Mullen and Lewis Hill the standouts.

The Under-11s had a loss to Marist under the lights on Friday night, with players of the day going to Archie Schrader, George Donworth and Xavier Cook.

The top players for the Under-13s were Charlie Regnault and Baylee Erbelein.

For Gladstone Under-6 Black, player of the day was Jodi Dennes and most improved Gus Bunny, while Under-6 White’s player of the day was John Lock and most improved Monty Booth.

Under-6 Gold had some great games and player of the day was Saxen Alexander and most improved Arthur Wildy.

Under-8 Gold had a good tussle with Marist and player of the day was Mason Dennes, and Under-8 Black player of the day was Seb Tomlin and Jack Cates most improved.

The Under-9s met Carterton and played a strong game and player of the day was Tom Gardiner and most improved Sam Waddell.

The Under-10s had a tough game against Pioneer with all the players getting stuck in so the whole team was awarded players of the day.

The Under-11s travelled to Whareama to face East Coast/Eketahuna and tackled well in their win.

Player of the day was Lucas Sargent and most improved Harry Heffernan.
