Robert went to join his loving wife Rae on April 1st, 2024, he is survived by his children Stephen, Helen, Tony, Julie, Carolyn, Kerry and Kate and 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Loved brother of Jan Neilsen, Keith, Ross, Bruce, Wayne (deceased), David, Donald and Lynda Fenn.
Robert himself would like to thank all his carers especially Brenda, Beryl, and Kim, Dr Gordon, the district nurses and Kahukura with special thanks to Harriet, Ashlei and Sheryl.
The Hargood family would also like to thank Wairarapa Care Village and the entire team that cared for Dad and his family through the last days of this journey with special mention to Alice the cat.
Robert has asked that you remember his life in your own way as he didn’t want a funeral service to hear all the awesome things he had done in his life and helped so many.
So according to his wishes a private cremation has been held. In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice Wairarapa.
