An engine from Masterton Fire Station responded to a report of a vegetation fire in Lansdowne in Masterton at around 9pm on Saturday.
On arrival, the crew discovered “a few” burning leaves “that would’ve just taken a cup of water to put out”, and they duly spent several seconds dousing the flames.
