Police appeal for information
Wairarapa police are continuing to investigate the suspicious fire at an address on Kiriwhakapapa Rd that is believed to have happened on the evening of November 18 or the early hours of November 19. A police spokesperson has confirmed that a scene examination has been completed in conjunction with FENZ and they are now appealing for any information that may assist the ongoing investigation. If you witnessed the fire or have any information, please contact police on 105 and quote reference number 231119/4756.
Xmas parade SH2 closures
There will be some street closures this Saturday to allow for the Featherston Christmas Parade to move down SH2 in Featherston. The section of SH2 between SH53 and Fox St will be closed from midday to 1pm. There will be no access to Fitzherbert St from the side roads between this section of Fitzherbert and Fox streets during this time.
Rahui ends
A rahui [a form of tapu restricting access to an area] put in place last week due to the death of a diver off the coast at Riversdale has been lifted. The rahui was in place for five days from the mouth of the Whareama River to the Motu Wairaka Stream just north of Riversdale Beach.

Masters division
With the swim season starting, Greytown Swimming Club are opening up a Masters division. Any adults [including recent school leavers] who wish to get involved in squad swimming are encouraged to get involved, and it’s open to all fitness and skill levels, as long as you can swim one length of the pool unaided.
