Burnouts on
Pakihi Rd
Police responded to reports of a car doing burnouts on Pakihi Rd, Masterton, at 3.20pm yesterday. A spokesperson said police attended the scene and searched the nearby area for the car but did not locate it. Police said they are unable to make further enquiries because the person who reported the incident said the car did not have registration plates.
Kāinga Ora
in Pahiatua
Kāinga Ora will be in Pahiatua today for a drop-in session to detail what they do, how they support customers in their homes, how they work with the community to provide support and how to apply to be on the Ministry of Social Development register. The session will be at the Pahiatua Library, 167 Main St, from 12–2pm. Lincoln Rd

Carterton District Council is currently upgrading the path on Lincoln Rd, and it said the work should be completed early next week. The path is out of action to the public while work is ongoing.
Planned outages
Powerco has planned work in Carterton today. The work is on Waiohine Gorge Rd and Josephs Rd. The general repairs will incorporate the replacement of a pole. Powerco said 159 properties may be affected. The work will take place between 10am and 2pm. Powerco is also completing tree-trimming work on Kahutara Rd in Featherston today, which will take place between 9am and 4pm. Powerco said 88 properties may be affected.
